Veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez finally broke her silence on the speculations that her son Arjo Atayde is currently in a special relationship with Maine Mendoza.
KAMI learned that the rumors began when several photos and videos of the two celebrities while allegedly “dating” circulated and made noise in social media.
Sylvia initially expressed that she is aware of the rumors because she was able to look at the pictures of her son together with Maine.
The actress admitted that she asked Arjo about it but the actor’s response was just his trademark smile.
“Nakikita ko siyempre yung mga litrato. Nababalitaan ko. Mas nauuna yung social media sa 'kin," she quipped.
“Tinatanong ko si Arjo, ngingitian lang ako. Walang usapang ganun sa bahay," she added.

Despite being unable to confirm the allegations, Sylvia explained that she is happy for her son and she can see that Arjo is also enjoying his life now.
The multi-awarded celebrity mom also emphasized that she just respects if her son keeps silent about the issue.
“Basta ako, kung ano yung gusto niya, kung ano yung ayaw niyang sabihin sa amin, sirekto niya, respeto. So, kung anuman yung ginagawa ng anak ko, buhay niya 'yan, e,” she stressed.
“Masaya ang anak ko, at yun ang importante sa akin bilang ina,” the former The Greatest Love star added.
