It was indeed a sight to behold in Makati Shangri-La as various Kapamilya stars flaunted their sophisticated attires during the first-ever ABS-CBN Ball 2018.
Several photos and videos of famous celebrities slaying on the red carpet circulated online and even became the subject of public interest.
However, it was not just about elegance and glamor that made the event exciting and interesting as there were other unheard facts that the public may need to know.

1. Carlo Aquino was rushed to the Emergency Room few hours before the event
“Exes Baggage” star Carlo Aquino almost did not make it to the first-ever Ball because of an emergency that happened to him the night before. On Saturday morning, it went more worrying as he needed to admit himself to the hospital and recover immediately.
"Uric acid, nasa ER ako kaninang umaga," the actor explained in a press interview.
2. Nadine Lustre became a factor to what James Reid wore in the occasion
Many netizens said James Reid looked strange during the ABS-CBN Ball. But the fun thing is, his attire was inspired by the gown of girlfriend Nadine Lustre. The actor considered his partner’s attire before deciding on what to wear during the event. A lot of netizens reached by this revelation were touched by the sweetness of the actor.
"Actually the look was inspired by Nadine. I kinda followed suit," James said.
3. Arci Muñoz’ pink hair had an interesting meaning
A portion of people’s attention went straight to the hair of actress Arci Muñoz. Aside from her outfit, it was her hair that caused witty and hilarious reaction on social media. However, the celebrity explained that it was connected to her upcoming project. Perhaps, she wanted to provide a teaser of how interesting her role in the new project will be.
"Actually I am using (this hair color) for a role and I love it, I wanna keep it," Arci quipped in an interview.

4. The gown that Liza Soberano wore is only one in the world
What Liza Soberano wore in the prestigious Ball was an Alexander McQueen creation. It is the only one in the universe and she admitted that it was the same attire that the model flaunted on the runway.
"My outfit is actually from a previous season of Alexander McQueen and it's only one in the world so this dress was actually shipped to their headquarters kasi walang bumibili buti na lang nahabol namin," Liza expressed.
5. Anne Curtis’ gown brought some memories of her wedding
The outfit of Anne Curtis was not simply made to make her gorgeous and stunning in the ABS-CBN Ball. It also had a memory of her much-talked-about wedding with Erwan Heussaff. This is because the one who made the gown of Anne in the Ball was the same person who designed her attire during her wedding.
"You know of course I've worked with Monique (Lhuillier)and her team for my wedding dress a year ago so I decided to contact them again and they showed me a few of their dresses that are part of their 19th bridal collection. I said I don't think I could do bridal at a ball and then they said 'would you like us to customize the color,' and that's all how this came about,” Anne explained.
6. Pia Wurtzbach wanted to try something that she has not done yet even as Miss Universe
Pia Wurtzbach certainly became one of the headturners during the event because of her African-American look. She said she wanted to achieve the guise of a golden goddess so she bravely tried to experiment and come up with a “bombshell” look.
"I think even as Miss Universe I've never done a bombshell look or parang like a golden goddess look. So that's what I wanted to do tonight," she pointed out.
