The Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid chose to take a hands-on approach, extracting her son Nate’s loose baby tooth by herself.
In her Instagram post, netizens and some celebrity friends reacted to an endearing video of her personally taking care of Nate’s loose front tooth as well as a photo of the result of their at-home tooth extraction.
In the caption, she wrote, “Nag mahal umuga nabungi #dahilsapagibignagpabungi #bunginasiBoo #Boongi”
Her son Nate Alcasid looked nervous as Regine tied a string which looked like a dental floss to his left front tooth. According to her, tying the floss to the loose tooth was the hardest part of the tooth extraction. She also revealed it was not her first time to do it.
After securing the floss tied to the tooth, Regine asked her son if he was ready.
“Don’t pull it so hardly (sic),” Nate nervously reminded her mom.
“At the start, you just pull it softly,” he added.
Regine took her son’s face on her left hand and used her right hand to give a sharp tug at the floss. Nate looked surprised and speechless when he realized his tooth was already pulled out.
He immediately handed his mother a gauze which she later used to stop the gum’s bleeding.

Her followers reacted to the post and admired Regine for being a hands on mom and for her simplicity. Even her celebrity friends showed how thrilled they are for Nate's bravery.

Regine and Ogie Alcasid confirmed their relationship in June 2007 through an article published by Yes! magazine. They announced their engagement in August 8, 2010 and got married on December of the same year in Nasugbu, Batangas.
She gave birth to Nathaniel James or Nate on Novemeber 8, 2011 via caesarean section.
