Kapamilya actor Coco Martin expressed his side on the issue regarding celebrity guests in the top-rating teleserye, “Ang Probinsyano.”
KAMI learned that some netizens brand the said teleserye as an “assembly area” for showbiz personalities who are in hiatus or retirement.
This is after the show paved the way for showbiz comeback of some artists including CJ Ramos, Whitney Tyson, Mystica, and Rhed Bustamante.
Coco defended the guest stars in the top-rating show and said that they were given by God as answers to their problem.
He admitted that the teleserye often encounters difficulties on suitability of celebrities to specific and available roles
The promising actor also said that he is not afraid of hearing more pleas from other artists who want to be part of the primetime show.
“Mas natatakot kami na maubusan na kami ng guests. Honestly, may time talaga na kapag nag iisip kami, ‘sino kaya ang artista dito,’ wala na kaming maisip,” he quipped
Coco even expressed that he and the production team of “Ang Probinsyano” are in fact thankful to the celebrities who want to accept roles in the teleserye.
He said that they are lucky that the celebrities who are in hiatus and who opt to portray roles in the show fit in the available characters.
“Kaya mas thankful pa nga kami na parang nilalaglag siya ng Diyos na parang biglang may taong nangangailangan tapos sakto naman merong character na ganyan,” the actor stressed.
