Angelica Panganiban exposes why she was replaced by Shaina Magdayao for Asintado

Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban revealed the true reason why she got replaced by another actress in the drama series, “Asintado.”
KAMI learned that the promising celebrity was supposedly part of the said afternoon television show which was originally titled, “Victims of Love.”
However, she got substituted by actress Shaina Magdayao because she turned down the offer and opted to have a lighter project.
Coming off of an antagonist role in Pangako Sa ‘Yo, Angelica said she did not want to assume the same type of character in her next project.
She even expressed that she wanted a different plot that is away from the usual “warehouse” ending.
"Siguro kasi, coming from Pangako Sa 'Yo na walang ginawa yung character ko kung hindi magalit kay Kathryn Bernardo at kay Daniel Padilla at kay Jodi Sta. Maria, parang syempre, gusto kong project na susunod, e, ilihis naman natin ng konti,” she quipped.
"Mas magaan sana, syempre. Ayoko sana ng mga location na warehouse kung saan yun ang ending. Yun lang naman ang mga request ko,” she added.
Because of this, she was offered a lead role in the romantic-comedy series, “Playhouse” with actor Zanjoe Marudo.

Angelica explained that she got nervous when she first knew that the management was considering to put the show in the primetime slot.
She shared that it is okay to be in the daytime slot because she knows that the series during mornings and afternoons are family-oriented.
"So noong nagkaroon ng ikutan somehow, e, parang hindi alam kung saan kami ilalagay kasi nga matagal na kaming ready, kinakabahan ako noong mga huli na parang ilalagay sa gabi o sa hapon,” the actress uttered.
"Pero di naman ako nagreact, hinintay ko lang din, alam naman ng management kung ano talagang dapat gawin. Hinayaan lang naman namin sila at feeling ko naman e nauwi naman sa tama,” she added.
The new project of Angelica and Zanjoe will have its television debut on Monday, September 17, before It’s Showtime.
