May 8 is Mother’s day.  It has always been a day where children and husbands honor their mothers and wives for all the love and sacrifices these women have given them. While it is more common for girls to show their appreciation to their moms during this day, there are some men who are also open with their affections towards their moms.

1. Xian Lim

Xian Lim has been known to be very expressive and vocal about his mother Mary Anne Cruz Lim and his grandmother who raised him in the US. His mother, who is a private personality, has always been defending Xian from his bashers.

He admits that his mother is his backbone and that it was also his mom who taught him to love the piano.

As a way of showing his gratitude towards these two special women in his life, Xian recently bought them a car.

2. Daniel Padilla

Karla Estrada raised up Daniel and his siblings as a solo parent. That is why it is no wonder why his ex-boyfriend Rommel Padilla awarded her with the “pinakamalupit na nanay” title during the Teen King’s recent birthday celebration.

Daniel could not agree more. He said that he got most of his traits from his mother Karla, known to be a breadwinner.

3.Gerald Anderson 

Fil-American Gerald Anderson claims that it was his mother Evangeline Opsima who taught him how to be courageous when it comes to trying new things in life.

His simple businesswoman mother, who hails from General Santos City, crossed lands and seas for her family.

4. Piolo Pascual

Piolo Pascual owes his life to his mother Amelia "Amy" Nonato Pascual. It was his mother who raised Piolo and his siblings after their father passed away early. His mother raised him and his siblings in California. Piolo considers his mother alongside his siblings as his driving force.

5. Daniel Matsunaga

Brapanese star Daniel Matsunaga shares a close bond with his mother Geralda Matsunaga. They are always seen travelling together as a family, now with the addition of Daniel’s girlfriend, Erich Gonzales. It is also his mother who shares to the public the goings-on between Daniel and Erich. It is believed that their relationship is getting deeper because of the close-knit bond and because both share the same faith.
