Daniel Padilla admits to breaking up once with girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo

After Daniel Padilla admitted that he has been the boyfriend of Kathryn Bernardo for five years now, the actor revealed another important detail about their relationship.
KAMI learned that Daniel had a temporary breakup with Kathryn at one point in their relationship, based on his interview with Boy Abunda.
He also revealed that there were many times when he got tired of the relationship but that both of them persevered through the difficulties.
“Maraming beses na ako napagod, pero hindi ko siya iniwan…
“Nandoon na sa point na, ‘Gusto mo pa ba, ayaw mo na ba?’ Pero babalik ka rin doon sa ‘sino ba ‘tong tao na ito sa akin?’
“Nagkaroon kami (ng breakup), pero mabilis lang, kasi hindi rin namin kaya. Babalik ka naman,” Daniel said, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.
He added that there are some tips to making a long-term relationship work:
“Pag napapagod kami, unang-una siyempre, ano ba ang rason ng pagkapagod mo?
“I think iyon ang kailangan niyo ayusin o pag-usapan, o gawan ng paraan. You have to make it exciting every time . . . Mas lalo ko siyang naa-appreciate ’pag kaming dalawa lang. Mas lalo ko siyang nararamdaman…
“Bakit ba hindi ka na masaya?” I think babalik tayo sa contentment. Kailangan mong maging kontentong tao. Baka masyado ka nang maraming hinihiling. Hindi gano’n. Kailangan nating umabot sa point na kontento na tayo, and you will be very genuinely happy,” the actor explained.
Daniel also appeared with Kathryn Bernardo on his mom’s talk show “Magandang Buhay,” as reported earlier by KAMI.
They are currently promoting their new blockbuster romantic movie entitled “The Hows of Us.”
The film was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Cathy Garcia Molina and its performance marked the love team’s biggest opening day box office gross.
