Gina Pareño said something about Indie actor and TV director Coco Martin that she has been longing since her days with Ang Probinsyano.
KAMI learned about Gina's revelation about the actor during her Independent film Rendevous' red carpet premiere.
According to her, the actress misses the old days she used to have with Coco, who just used to getting in touch with her often. She also considered him a one-call-away friend.
"Nami-miss ko na, hindi na ako tinatawagan," she mentioned during an interview with ABS-CBN News at the same event.
Gina's episodes could be recalled in the FPJ's Ang Probinsyano as a supporting role for Cardo. She was cast back then as "Madam Olga."
Pareño, although admitted her missing of Coco's communication with her, said that she utterly understands the actor's busy life as an actor, endorser, and ultimately, his role as the hit teleserye's director.
"Hindi na ako binabati. Naisip ko yan ‘si Coco [Martin] parang hindi na ako tini-text, dati dati nag-text 'yan ng ‘lola, kumusta ka na ngayon?’ Siguro baka busy." She mentioned this during the same interview.
Gina also praised and admired Coco for his stunningly handsome looks and his life of being a polymath, or almost being able to everything with great skill.
"Ang gwapo gwapo niya, at ang galing galing niya, bilang direktor. Lahat ata magaling na siya."
Gina Pareño is popular for her lead roles in the 60s with Sampaguita Pictures, especially with her hit role Darna. She remained glowing and afloat amid the changes in the industry while taking on heavily poignant as well as light and comedic mother and supporting roles in movies and television series. She is currently working with co-actor Eddie Garcia in their upcoming dramedy "Hintayan sa Langit."
