7 Rich & famous Filipino celebrities who are actually thrifty
Many celebrities are known for spending a lot of money on expensive houses, clothes, shoes, bags, cars and vacations.
However, KAMI learned that some of them are actually thrifty with their earnings.
Here are some Filipino celebrities who are actually “kuripot” with the money they have earned.

1. Solenn Heussaff
The Kapuso star revealed that she has bought only one designer bag. As for her other luxurious items, she said that those were given to her as gifts. She also revealed that she does not have a kasambahay, only a caretaker for her pets.
2. Luis Manzano
The popular Kapamilya host was outed by his friend Anne Curtis as a “kuripot,” even when it comes to buying gifts.
"Kuripot si Luis. Kami ni Manzano we always have a deal kung ano ang ibibigay namin sa isa'rsquo;t-isa and this year, hindi pa kami nagbibigayan kasi wala pa kaming agreement kung anong ibibigay niya sa akin at ibibigay ko sa kanya," Anne told PUSH.
3. Anne Curtis
Anne revealed that she saves 80 to 90 percent of her earnings. According to the actress, she learned her thriftiness from her Ilocano mother.
"My mom's kuripot, Ilokana! So doon ko talaga natutunan 'yung mga bagay na 'yon," she revealed, according to ABS-CBN News.
4. Sarah Geronimo
The pop superstar had this to say about her spending habits: “Sobrang kuripot [at] sobrang matipid [ako]. Bumibili ako ng isang bagay na talagang necessity, 'yung kakailanganin ko. Para sa luho, hindi talaga.”

5. Enchong Dee
The Kapamilya heartthrob is a known kuripot among his friends and co-workers. This is what Maja had to say on Magandang Buhay about Enchong: “'Di ba kuripot na siya? Pero [naging mas] kuripot siya noon dahil nagpapatayo siya ng building. 'Pag nagugutom siya, kung hindi ako ang inaasahan niya, si Kim o si Xian. One time, si Xian [ay] nagbigay ng food [so] kumuha siya ng food [pero] hindi niya namalayan na expired na pala. Ganun siya ka kuripot, nakakain siya ng mga expired na pagkain.”
6. JC Santos
Aside from being thrifty, the actor revealed that he also has no vices. “Kuripot ako at wala akong bisyo o luho. Para 'pag naghirap ako uli, ayokong dumating sa part na magugutom uli ako.”
7. John Lloyd Cruz
After leaving behind show business, John Lloyd Cruz has been spotted many times buying cheap food and other inexpensive services. He has become more practical after quitting show business.
