Meteor Garden's Barbie Hsu ends pregnancy when baby had no heartbeat

In a heartbreaking decision, the Meteor Garden star, Barbie Hsu, more popularly known as Shan Cai had to terminate her pregnancy because of a fetal complication.
KAMI learned that the baby had no heartbeat, and therefore, the Taiwanese actress was advised to end her pregnancy.
It was also reported in PhilNews that the doctor advised the actress to abort the baby as it was found that he had developmental problems during checkup.
"Barbie and Wang Xiaofei prayed day and night during this period, hoping for a miracle. Unfortunately, during the recent check-up, the doctors said that they could not detect the embryo’s heartbeat. After much discussion, they decided to accept the professional advice and terminated the pregnancy," said the report.
The studio handling Hsu assured her fans that she is being taken care of and the actress was also expressing her gratitude for the blessings and support.
At 41, Barbie has two children, both girls with her husband Xiaofei.
Barbie Hsu became very popular in the Philippines for her role in Meteor Garden's Shan Cai.
She is one of those foreign actresses who had made a lasting impact in the hearts and minds of Filipinos.
