Miguel Tanfelix made Bianca Umali's debut extra special when he made a surprising announcement and confession in front of all of her guests!
Bianca had her debutante ball at the Marquee Tent, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel on March 17.
During his 18 Gifts speech, Miguel called Bianca his best friend and soulmate.
"Huwag ko daw siyang paiyakin sabi niya. Huwag kang mag-alala, di kita paiiyakin sa buong buhay ko," said Miguel.
He added: "Thankful ako kay Lord na binigyan niya ako ng isang kaibigan na tulad mo. Sobrang dami nating pinagdaanan, daming show na dumaan, dami nating natutunan sa isa't isa, and pag down ako, andiyan ka para pasayahin ako. Pag down ka, alam mo namang lagi akong nandito para patawanin ka sa mga corny jokes ko. I'm confident to say that you're my best friend, my person, and my soulmate."
But what surprised everyone in the room was when Miguel asked Bianca's grandmother, Mama Vicky, if he could start courting the debutante.
"Now, 18 years old ka na, finally pwede ko nang sabihin sa'yo 'yung matagal ko nang gustong sabihin. Pero siyempre bago ako magpaalam sa'yo, kay Mama Vicky muna. Mama Vicky, ngayong 18 na po si Bianca, hinihingi ko po sana 'yung permiso mo. Pwede ko po bang i-express kung ano po 'yung nararamdaman ko para sa magandang dalaga n'yo po," said Miguel.
However, Mama Vicky seemingly still wants Miguel to wait.
"Hinay-hinay lang tayo. Darating din 'yan, huwag kang mainip. Sa tamang panahon," said Mama Vicky.
"Manliligaw pa lang naman po ako, kay Bianca, sa inyo, especially sa inyo, mga pamilya," clarified Miguel.
In the end, Miguel said he respects Mama Vicky's decision.

Mama Vicky is Bianca's grandmother from his father's side. She raised the actress after her parents died when she was young.
Bianca's mother died of cancer in 2005. Her father died of a heart attack five years later.
Bianca is an only child. But she has six older half-siblings from her parents' past relationships.
Miguel and Bianca was first paired in the drama series Niño. Their love team is known as Biguel.
