A rich American caught the attention of social media users due to the way he gave up his wealthy life in the US to live in the Philippines.
KAMI saw a report in Definitely Filipino that Chase Marcum III lived in Sta. Rosa California, with a degree in Anthropology.
He was earning around $2,000 to $3,000, which in current prevailing rate is somewhere between P100K to P150K.
However, after he had a 3-week vacay in the Philippines, his heart was simply captivated and he wanted to live in PH.
Today, he is here in the Philippines and has been staying here for several years now.
He is working as a security guard, supporting his girlfriend Jeremae Silvano and their son.
For Chase, money is not important, but happiness. He would always say this to people who don't understand why he left his rich life in America.
