Weddings are always special, but this ceremony is straight out of a movie!
Photos of a wedding held inside the Callao Cave caught the interest of netizens since Friday afternoon, February 16.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the couple was Mike Rubio and Suzy Daquiz who were both from Manila.
They said they always dreamed of getting married in the famous Callao Cave in Peñablanca, Cagayan.
The original photo, taken by Paul Lopez, was reposted by numerous Facebook pages, causing it to spread on social media.
The Callao Cave is a seven-chamber show cave in the northern province.
The first chamber the largest and has been turned into a chapel by the locals.
It is considered sacred and is one of the main tourist attractions in the area.
It was also used as a location for the blockbuster movie The Mistress. It starred John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo in 2012.
In the movie, John Lloyd's character drives Bea Alonzo's character to Callao Cave so she could deliver an outfit for a wedding held in the cave's chapel.
Callao Cave is also famous for the discovery of the remains of the "Callao man", which, according to archeologists, could be the first inhabitants of the Asia Pacific.
