- Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez and 4th District Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres lives in their own White House
- The couple chose convenience for the location of their house
- Their house is a sprawling all-white mansion in Makati
Celebrities-turned-politicians Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres are living in a beautiful White House in Forbes Park, Makati.
They opened up their house for a feature on Yes! Magazine. And PEP has the photos from that shoot.
According to PEP, Richard and Lucy decided to live in Forbes Park because it is only 10 minutes away from the airport.
They used to live in Greenhills, San Juan and the traffic would cause them enormous stress trying to make it to the airport on time for their many flights.
Both needed to fly back and forth from Leyte where they serve as public servants.
"Dumating iyong time na grabe na ang traffic. One hour is not enough. And nothing is certain na you'd be there. So laging nate-tensyon 'yung buhay namin," said Richard.
Lucy said the design of their all-white house was a "reflection of us as a couple."
She explained that most of the items in their house were either given to them as a gift or purchased when they were still single.
Their beautiful house has a wide-open space feeling because Richard said he doesn't like partitions.
Their house is also very quiet and removed from the city noise, thanks to soundproofed windows.
Lucy said they wanted an all-white motif so they can spot the dirt easier.
Even their bathroom is all-white!
Outside the house is a five-meter swimming pool because Juliana loves to swim.
Lucy and Richard got married in 1998. They have a daughter named Julianna.
The couple met on the set of their commercial for Lux shampoo in 1993.
Lucy was only 18 years old. Back then, Richard was already one of Philippine showbiz's matinee idols.
She is a Filipina actress and politician and the current representative of the 4th District of Leyte. She is a member of the PDP–Laban party.
Richard, meanwhile, is a Filipino actor, model, athlete, television presenter, director and politician.
