A Puregold employee in Valenzuela City was brought by the management to jail after he was allegedly caught in the act eating cupcake and sandwich worth P80 without paying for them.

According to Abante's report, the merchandiser, Joaquin Edilberto, 31 is a resident of Caloocan City.

The guy was charged with qualified theft by the police, as stated by PO3 Laude Pillejera.

Armando Burgos, the supervisor of Puregold would represent the establishment during the hearing.

The incident happened around 12:35 p.m. the time where people usually eat for lunch.
