Angelica Panganiban found out the truth about her real parents 8 years ago.

In a video shared by ABS-CBN, A clip in an episode of Magandang Buhay showed an emotional Angelica Panganiban who recounted the day she learned that she is an adopted child.

She was taping for "Banana Split" when she first heard the truth from her cousin.

“May tampuhan kami ni mama. So sinabi ko word na ampon. 'Yung pinsan ko umiyak, nag-break down,” she said.

Little did she know, her cousin already knew about it from her adoptive mother.

Ganun ka-casual niya nasabi,” she said.

Upon hearing everything, the actress did not know how to react but she went inside the dressing room to think about the biggest secret about her.

So sino palang kapamilya ko?

She also said she can't go straight to her adoptive mom to clarify things because she felt guilt as she would always argue with her mom back then. "

Though she knew about her real parents she still chose to stay with the family who raised her.

“Sobra akong thankful.

She was also greeted via live video call by her cousins and aunt where she got emotional.

Angelica met her biological father in the US in 2010 for the first time.

Her biological mother unluckily died in 2008 which made her accept the fact that she would never have the chance to ask her why she gave her away.

Angelica's mom was buried in Singapore.
