Why Saab Magalona failed to attend sister Maxene's wedding

Saab Magalona is missing the most important day of her sister Maxene's life.

On January 11, actress Maxene Magalona is marrying musician Rob Mananquil in Boracay, but her matron-of-honor and younger sister Saab is stuck in Manila.

Understandably, Saab got emotional about missing out.

On Instagram, she posted a throwback photo with Maxene. The picture was from Saab's own wedding in 2015 wherein Maxene was her maid-of-honor.

She wrote: "Today my maid-of-honor gets married and, as her matron-of-honor, I'm so sad that I can't be with her physically."

Saab is pregnant with twins and her doctor advised her not to travel until after she gives birth.

"I really wish I could be there, but with her big and selfless heart, she told me not to worry about it because the safety of my babies is what's most important. I love you, @maxenemagalona, and I am currently crying buckets from Manila," wrote Saab.

But to honor the special occasion and feel part of the celebration, Saab said she's still wearing her dress today even in bed.

Saab and Maxene are the daughters of the late rap icon Francis Magalona.

Saab got married to fellow Cheats band member Jim Bacarro in a private ceremony in Baguio City.

Maxene, meanwhile, is marrying musician Rob Mananquil. The couple got engaged on Valentine's Day in Tokyo, Japan.
