Sharon Cuneta humopia kay Robin Padilla? Megastar shares story behind their 'naudlot' marriage and being brokenhearted because of Binoe

Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla are both happily married now — Cuneta with Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Padilla with Mariel Rodriguez. During a recent press conference for their blockbuster movie, “Unexpectedly Yours,” Cuneta candidly opened up about their “postponed marriage” in the past.
Who would have thought Cuneta and Padilla were once a couple and now legit exes? They’ve been able to keep every detail under wraps in the past but now, the 51-year-old Megastar is ready to share the story behind their failed relationship.
In the video that KAMI obtained from Chikkaness Ave's Youtube channel, Cuneta candidly recalled how serious her relationship with Binoe. Even though they were still very young at the time, Cuneta stressed they were really “dead serious” about getting married because they’re so much in love.
“Walang may alam na ganun pala umabot kaseryoso kami,” Cuneta shared. “Actually he talked to my father (late Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta) na… hiningi na ang kamay ko.”
Cuneta added that her entire family, even her extended family like Mama Helen (Cuneta’s term of endearment to Aunt Helen Gamboa. The Kapamilya actress also revealed that she tried her best to protect Padilla.
“Hindi kita sisiraan. Diyos ko, pinotrekta pa kita kahit gusto kitang patayin!” Cuneta said. “My God! In fairness naman, marami naman siyang ginawa para di ko malaman [referring to getting someone pregnant].”
The Megastar continued that she thought Padilla was “the one” for her, especially after her failed marriage to Gabby Concepcion.
“But no, we were really dead serious about getting married,” the Kapamilya star stressed. “We were so much in love and you know, parang nakita ko na… parang nahanap ko na sana eh yung ensakto para sakin. Yun pala hindi… hindi…”
Cuneta further explained that their plan to get married was stopped by the circumstances and their ages. The veteran actress admitted that they were still young at the time.
“Bata pa kasi kami and you know, he’s [Padilla] a couple of years younger than I am,” Sharon confessed. “So, medyo nagsosow pa siya ng wild oats niya.”
Due to what happened, Cuneta confessed that she had to hide from everybody because she was so brokenhearted. She even felt so much hurt because she was really in love with Padilla.
“So syempre I had to hide from everybody how brokenhearted I was because I really loved him very much,” Cuneta admitted. “But I, also, naman know that among everybody who said they loved me, Robin really loved me naman to the stars and back.”
“So yun di lang natuloy because of mga pangyayari na hindi inaasahan,” Cuneta concluded. “Tsaka marami pang chapters after nun ha.”
The Kapamilya star also revealed that they didn’t stop there because they continued their relationship. Unfortunately, their marriage plans never pushed through.
Meanwhile, it wasn’t the first time that Cuneta opened up about almost getting hitched to Padilla. According to PEP, Cuneta recalled her personal and professional relationship with Padilla during her concert titled, “Sharon at Solaire,” at the Solaire Resort and Casino on Oct. 15, 2016.
