Rachel Alejandro gets honest about her decision not to have children with her foreigner husband

Singer-actress Rachel Alejandro has opened up about her decision not to have kids.

She shared her honest thoughts during her interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”

KAMI learned about the singer’s comments from PUSH.

According to Rachel, she is aware that her decision is not the norm and that she understands why the people around her question her choice.

However, she explained that she treats her nieces and nephews as her children.

“People ask me ‘bakit?!’ But, I know it’s weird and it’s not normal and everyday and I ask myself am I going to regret it but it's a choice I’ve made.

“And I guess it would be the most life changing choice. But thankfully may mga pamangkin ako who want to be singers like me. So feeling ko parang sila na rin yung mga anak ko,” she explained.

The celebrity also spoke about her preparation for her new movie with Paulo Avelino.

“One of the hardest things I had to do, I had to take voice lessons to sing in the style of the period. Nawala yung pop style ni Rachel Alejandro, and I had to sing it a lot softer, parang may theatrical style,” she said.

Rachel married Carlos Santamaria on April 9, 2011.

They currently reside in Makati.

Her latest movie, “Ang Larawan The Movie,” is her first movie in 21 years. Her last movie was “Mumbaki” in 1996.
