Rene Boy Facunla or most commonly known as 'Ate Glow' was very popular during former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's term.

Ate Glow's showbiz career was definitely affected when Arroyo's presidential term ended.
According to Ate Glow, she is a straight transgender woman.
Before she met her British husband, she had two relationships in the past, a Filipino and the other one an Irish Caucasian.
Ate Glow met her husband during one of her visits in London.
They exchanged vows at the Chelsea Registry Office last July 2, 2016 and according to Ate Glow, her husband knows her true gender identity prior to their wedding.
She said that her husband was caught off guard by her celebrity status.
During an encounter with Filipino fans in Great Britain they asked if they could take a picture with her, and her husband was shocked by the gesture.
“Hindi nga niya alam, e. Minsan nga napag-awayan pa namin ‘yon kasi sabi niya I lied to him daw. Lumabas kami isang beses tapos may mga nagpa-picture sa’kin ng mga Filipino. Sabi niyang ganon, ‘that’s mental. Why would they ask for a picture from you?’” she shared.
She is also very vocal with her bre@st implant surgery and explained the reason behind it.
"I’m doing it for myself, definitely for myself. But of course, I’m also doing it for my partner. Kasi gusto ko rin siya na mapaligaya. You need to spice up your life, you need to spice up your relationship, alam mo ‘yon. Isa na ‘to sa mga paraan,” Glow said.
Ate Glow is an honor student and is very active during her school days.
She graduated college from the University of the Philippines.
