- He later suffered from depression because of what happened
A construction worker in Samar was diagnosed with major depressive disorder after losing the P1.2M money he won in a lottery in a span of just three months.
KAMI learned about Jack Morales’ story from GMA’s “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.”
Jack was earning P250 a day as a construction worker when he decided to join the 6/45 lottery, winning P15,000 and P30,000 in the process.
Later on, Jack decided to risk more as he gave P1,000 for the P300-K prize, P1,500 for the P450-K prize, and another P1,500 for the same amount.
Amazingly, all of Jack’s sacrifices paid off since he won all three prizes for a total of P1,200,000.
After winning P1.2M, Jack resigned from his work, kept P200K for his child, P200K for his savings, and P800K as an investment in a construction site.
Unfortunately, Jack’s drinking and spending habits, as well as the failure of the construction site, made him lose all of his money in a span of three months.
For this reason, Jack began to suffer from depression.
Jessica Soho’s show decided to help Jack by taking him to a psychiatrist and giving him the opportunity to start a sari-sari store.
