Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonzo, 67, passes away after battling cancer

Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonzo passed away at around 11:30 p.m. on October 15 at the Chinese General Hospital in Manila due to complications from colon cancer. He was 67 years old.

“Von Prin Devas to our original Evades of Encantadia 2006. Tito Chinggoy Alonso.

“He was one of my favorite actors to cast in my TV series and films. Rest well and take a bow!" director Mark Reyes wrote on his Facebook.

Chinggoy’s wake is being held at the Christ the King Parish in Quezon City.

The actor starred in movies such as “Buhay Artista Ngayon” and “Etiquette for Mistresses” as well as TV series such as “Hahamakin ang Lahat” and “Wildflower.”
