- Aga Mulach has not appeared in movies for the past six years
- He revealed that he has rejected offers to star in movies because of his weight gain
- The actor also explained why he agreed to star in “Seven Sundays”
Veteran actor Aga Mulach explained that he has not been seen on the big screen for the past several years because of his weight gain.
KAMI learned about Aga’s revelation from PEP.ph.
"It's my being overweight. I struggled for how many years losing weight dahil nagpahinga talaga ako.
"Every year na may nag-ooffer sa 'kin ng love story, parang hindi ko kaya. Hindi ko kaya na lumabas na leading man na ganitong itsura ko, dahil hindi ko gagawin yun."
The 48-year-old actor added that the reason he accepted to star in “Seven Sundays,” the latest movie of director Cathy Garcia-Molina, was because the role did not require him to lose weight.
"When the script was offered sa akin, sinabi sa akin na 'You don't have to lose weight. You're okay.' But if you want to diet along the way, then go ahead, but the character doesn't ask for that.
"Of course, nag-start naman ako mag-dyeta rin, but ako magda-diet ako if I'm pushed against the wall.
“If you really watch the movie, makikita mo talaga, maputing buhok, malaki ang tiyan. Parang napag-iwanan talaga."
KAMI believes that Aga is one of the best actors in Philippine history and that his weight gain will never take that away!
