Veteran Pinoy actor Ernie Zarate has passed away at the age of 77 on Saturday, September 16, due to complications from diabetes.
KAMI learned about the sad news from PEP.ph.
According to his son, sports announcer Noel Zarate, his dad suffered a kidney failure in 2015, which required him to undergo dialysis.
Some of his most famous movies include Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang (1974), Relasyon (1982), Orapronobis (1989), Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara (1995), Gagamboy (2004), and Desperadas (2007),
He also appeared in TV shows such as Magpakailanman (2014), Tanging Yaman (2010), and Pangako Sa ‘Yo (2000).
Ernie’s wake is at the Christ the King Parish in Greenmeadows, Quezon City.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 21.
