The plastic surgeon involved in Shiryl Saturnino’s surgery handled Marlou Arizala’s transformation into Xander Ford
Korina Sanchez’s “Rated K” program went behind the scenes of Marlou Arizala’s cosmetic surgeries at the Marikina Doctors Hospital and Medical Center.
KAMI obtained a video of the feature from Rated K’s Facebook page.
It turned out that the surgeon who handled Marlou’s transformation to Xander Ford is none other than Dr. Samuel Eric C. Yapjuangco of The Icon Clinic.
He was involved in the case of Shiryl Saturnino, who died a few months ago in the middle of her surgery.
Marlou admitted that he was scared of going under the knife but that he had to transform so that he could feel better about himself.
“Pangarap ko nga yung magbago ako… Wala nang atrasan ‘to… Natatakot ako sa surgery pero kailangan eh.
"Gusto kong ipakita sa tao na yung dating Marlou na nilalait nila, kahit laitin nila ngayon, hindi na yun yung ako,” Marlou said.
His nose and chin were the focus of the surgeries, which took a total of six hours to finish.
Marlou is still recovering from the operation. Rated K promises to show the results of Marlou’s transformation in the coming episodes.
His decision to undergo surgery was met with mixed reactions from netizens.
“This is vanity of all sorts. They're teaching people not to be contented of their own. Kung anong binigay ng Diyos, pwede namang yun na lang. Depende na sa tao kung gagamitin niya ito bilang kalakasan niya o kahinaan niya.”
