Paolo Ballesteros' former girlfriend Maria Katrina Nevada is proud of the Eat Bulaga host's acting acihevements.

The actor who was recently hailed as 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actor was also recognized during the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival October last year for her transwoman role in the movie "Die Beautiful."

Maria Katrina is the mother of Paolo's daughter, Keira Claire.

Maria Katrina and Keira Claire who are both based in Chicago, USA are now in the Philippines for a 10-day vacation.

The two remain on good terms and continue being a cool parents to their 8-year-old child even if their relatiosnhip as a couple did not work out.

Despite their break-up, Paolo and Maria Katrina still treat each other like what best friends do.

In a recent Instagram post, Maria Katrina recalled their college days together.

“So proud of him... I remember during our college days, we were just eating lunch at McDonalds and you would tell me your dreams of being an actor," she wrote.

“But now you're more than just an actor!!! #bestactor #bestdaddy #bestfriend @pochoy_29,” she added.
