Self-confessed leader of Die-hard Duterte Supporters (DDS) Mocha Uson slams Rez Cortez, president of the Kapisanan ng mga Artista sa Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon for his statement on Friday, October 28, regarding the naming and shaming of the celebrities who made it to the Philippine National Police (PNP)'s list of drug users.
Just this morning, the actors guild of the Philippines' President Rez Cortez was saddened by the arrest of several personalities due to drugs.
In an interview, he appealed to the PNP and the President not to name the drug-linked celebrities. He also called on to the celebrity drug users to surrender to the police, even as he express the group's willingness to help personalities surrender to police and enter rehab.
(Even I, as president of the Actors Guild, I also pleaded for them to surrender and I am now pleading (the authorities) not to (publicly) name and release the (drug) list because these are only users. And if the person is confirmed to be either a drug lord or a pusher, it is okay. But for us in the Actors Guild, we will not stop at that. The users are also victims. And if they need help or if need be to rehabilitated, we will help our colleagues in the industry.)

In a Facebook post made by Mocha Uson, she claimed that the head of the actors' guild is turning a blind eye to the truth of drug use in the entertainment industry. She also reminded Cortez that President Rodrigo Duterte hated drugs and concluded her post by saying that in the name of fairness, the celebrity drug users should be publicly named.
