Filipina impressed all judges at UK X Factor auditions

- A Filipina with an amazing voice has once more proved to the world that Filipino talent is world-class when she wowed all UK X Factor judges

- She sang Whitney Houston’s “All the Man I Need” like a pro

- One judge even referred to her as a “little diva”

Simon Cowell is one hard-to-impress judge, but for 33-year-old Ivy Grace Paredes, she was able to do so because she sang just like a pro!

During the UK X Factor auditions, Paredes belted out one of Whitney Houston’s most difficult pieces, “All the Man I Need.” The song had a lot of highs and low notes that amateurs do find hard to nail.

Paredes smooth’s performance of the song wowed all the judges, and based on their wide-eyed smiling faces, were seriously impressed.

After the simple girl from Malaybalay, Bukidnon finished her rendition, Simon Cowell couldn‘t contain himself and blurted, “Oh my God!”

Having spoken a 3-word sentence that would have contestants feel like floating on cloud nine, Cowell further added, “What just happened there?!” It would seem that the great Simon Cowell couldn’t believe what he had just heard!

Another judge, Nicole Scherzinger, took the cue from Cowell and said, “She just sang our face off, pretty much, that’s what happened.”

The ever-smiling Sharon Osbourne said that Paredes just did herself proud.

Louis Walsh, the somewhat kind UK X Factor judge also described Paredes’ performance as sensational. He even gave Paredes the moniker of “little diva.”

Paredes was so happy that it would take herculean effort for her not to smile.

Many Filipinas join X Factor auditions being held in other countries because they didn’t get the chance to do so in the Philippines.

For Paredes, the reason why she joined the competition was for her 2-year-old daughter, whom she left in the Philippines with her parents.

Paredes believes that the UK X Factor competition is the biggest competition and she wants to be a part of it.

She added that it will be her stepping stone to “do good in the future” as what she is doing is all for her beloved daughter.
