Former Department of the Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Martin Diño has passed away following a battle with cancer.

He peacefully died on Tuesday at 2:15 a.m. while surrounded by his family.

Liza Diño-Seguerra then published an emotional post following her father's death.

In her post, Liza wrote a heartfelt message for her late dad.

"My dear Papa, you fought until the end; we all did. And you were surrounded by prayers of countless people whose lives you've touched."

Likewise, the wife of Ice Seguerra expressed how much she loves her father.

"I love you so much. You're always in my heart."

Liza Diño-Seguerra, former Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chair, is the spouse of Ice Seguerra. Ice, or Cariza Yamson Seguerra in real life, is a Filipino actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Earlier, Liza posted about his father, who was in critical condition due to stage 4 cancer. She shared a photo that showed her mother holding hands with her dad in a hospital. According to Liza, the photo reflects an emotional journey filled with years of hurt, healing, and forgiveness.
