Fiancée ni Robi Domingo, nadiskubreng may autoimmune disease: "Now, I can't breathe properly"

- Robi Domingo's fiancee, Maiqui Pineda, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease

- In an Aug. 3 blog, Maiqui narrated what she has been struggling with in terms of the disease

- Maiqui stated that it started in April 2023, and she experienced skin rashes, dryness on her hands and fingers, even having a hard time slicing her food

- After so many tests, it was later found that she was suffering from dermatomyositis, which is a rare autoimmune disease

The fiancée of Robi Domingo, Maiqui Pineda, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis.

In her Aug. 3 blog, she explained all the symptoms that she has experienced, up to how the diagnosis was made.

"I used to play basketball, tennis and do yoga and pilates everyday. Now, I can’t even breathe properly, bend down or sit on the floor to stretch. It hurts to see how things changed instantly."

The disease caused muscle weakness, painful rash, and inflammation.

She recounted that there were times that she would have a hard time putting on her pants, slicing her food, or getting up from sitting.

"Before the steroids, there were days when I couldn’t even get out of bed because of the stiffness, pain and fatigue. I kept missing work because I just couldn’t move and wanted to sleep all day. It even came to a point that I was still feeling the pain while I was asleep. I just kept trying to stay strong and continue my regular activities as much as I could but there were bad moments especially when I realized I couldn’t put on pants."

Thankfully, she was given steroids by her doctor, which helped manage the symptoms.

In June, she felt her body getting better, but came July, the symptoms started again, and this time around, it was found that her lungs were affected.

Recently, Robi became emotional during his contract renewal with ABS-CBN, and in his post, he said that no matter what happens, he would choose Maiqui.

Robi Domingo is a Filipino VJ, actor, dancer, and host. He first gained fame as a Pinoy Big Brother contestant, ending up as the first runner-up of the reality competition series. The Kapamilya star used to be in a relationship with Gretchen Ho before getting into a relationship with Maiqui Pineda. He would at times take to IG and post updates on his love life and career.

Robi has shared a hilarious clip on Instagram. It showed how he was accidentally pushed by Maymay Entrata during a number. The TV host almost stumbled on a speaker onstage. He then joked in the caption, "@maymay gusto ko lang naman magtrabaho."

He also shared a startling experience he and his mother had in a restaurant. He talked about his experience through a social media post. According to the TV host, he was having an afternoon date with his mom when the shocking incident happened. He said that he and his mom, along with many other people inside the restaurant, became alarmed on seeing a small flame emerge from the establishment’s kitchen.
