Cristy Fermin, pinuri si Celeste Cortesi na ikinukumpara umano ngayon kay Jane De Leon

Cristy Fermin took to her program, “Cristy Ferminute,” to react to Celeste Cortesi’s stunning national costume for the 71st Miss Universe pageant.

The country’s bet donned a Darna-inspired costume designed by renowned Filipino designer Oliver Tolentino.

During “CFM” on Friday, Cristy reacted, “Ang ganda naman ni Celeste.”

“Pero may namba-bash, bakit daw siya nag-Darna?” the veteran showbiz columnist aired.

Cristy then defended Celeste and her team by saying, “Ang Darna naman po ay isang pinaniwalaan nang kultura, icon na itong kwento na ito dito sa Pilipinas. Kaya why not, coconut diba?”

“Korek. Saka para maiba naman kasi kering keri niya naman, tignan mo. Kaya nga sila nakukumpara tuloy ni Jane De Leon,” Cristy’s co-host Romel Chika said.

Moreover, Cristy said Jane De Leon received bashings after Celeste presented the said costume on the prestigious pageant’s stage.

“Si Jane De Leon ano bina-bash bash na naman dahil kay Celeste,” Cristy aired.

"Kasi itong si Celeste long-legged talaga. Talagang perfect na perfect 'yung pagkaka-Darna. Labas na labas 'yung costume," Romel reacted.

“Ang ganda-ganda. May laban ang ating kinatawan,” Cristy further said about the Filipina-Italian beauty queen.

Celeste Cortesi was born on December 15, 1997 to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. The beauty queen from Pasay first made her presence known in the local pageant scene through the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition. She became even more well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The 25-year-old stunner grew up in Italy and moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry.

Celeste is also an absolute stunner in the swimsuit competition of Miss Universe 2022 preliminaries. She showcased her “Celestial Walk” on the pageant’s stage while wearing a pink two-piece swimsuit. The country’s bet likewise donned a cape made by children during her outreach in Marawi last year.

Celeste is also a head-turner during the evening gown portion of Miss Universe 2022 preliminaries. The Filipina-Italian beauty queen donned a sparkling couture gown designed by Oliver Tolentino.
