Baron Geisler starts training for cage match with Kiko Matos

Controversial actor Baron Geisler has already started training for his grunge match against indie actor Kiko Matos.

In a video posted on Facebook, Geisler showed off his Taekwondo background while training with his brother Donnie, a former member of the Philippine Taekwondo team. Donnie was one of the jins who represented the country in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympic Games.

Geisler accepted the invitation from the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) to fight Matos inside a mixed martial arts (MMA) cage after their brawl inside a Quezon City bar went viral.

URCC founder Alvin Aguilar extended the invitation to the two actors on Monday, May 30.

"In the URCC, we make sure that all street fights get settled inside the URCC cage. So guys we are offering you both a chance to finally settle your score inside the URCC cage and not in the streets," said Aguilar.

Matos confirmed his acceptance of the invitation on May 30 and said that he will fight Geisler "anytime, anywhere."

According to URCC, the fight's proceeds will go to charity.

It was previously announced that the fight will be held at the Palace Pool Club on June 25. But due to the high demand for tickets, the venue was moved to Valkyrie at the Palace.

The fight will be televised on ABS-CBN Sports and Action.
