Ogie sa rumors na ‘di alam ni Direk Bobet ang pag-host ni Kim Chiu sa Showtime: "Dapat lang din talaga alam"

Ogie Diaz recently discussed about Direk Bobet Vidanes’ controversial statement on why he left “It’s Showtime".

In his latest vlog with Mama Loi, the actor and talent manager reacted to rumors that Kim Chiu became an official host of the Kapamilya noontime show without Direk Bobet’s knowledge.

“Gaano kayang katotoo na isa sa last row daw na tinatawag kung bakit siya nagdesisyon na lumipat ay na-bypass siya dahil kung kailan nag-eere na, doon lang niya nalaman na may bagong host 'yung 'It's Showtime',” Mama Loi told Ogie.

“Ah si Kim Chiu nga daw 'yung tinutukoy. Oh, 'yun ang hindi naman natin alam. Sila-sila na nagkakaalaman niyan para maghimasok pa tayo diyan at magbigay ng sariling opinyon,” Ogie Diaz said.

Ogie added, “Dapat lang din talaga na alam ni Direk Bobet 'yung kay Kim Chiu, 'yung pagpasok ni Kim Chiu – kung paniniwalaan natin 'yung sinasabi ni Direk Bobet ah, na hindi niya alam 'yung pagpasok ng bagong host, 'di ba?”

Bobet Vidanes or Direk Bobet is a prominent director in the country popular for his shows under ABS-CBN Network like "Pilipinas, Game KNB?", and "It's Showtime". In 2020, however, the director stunned Kapamilya fans when he left ABS-CBN and his noontime show for good.

Vice Ganda’s vlog with Ion Perez & Ryan Bang premiered on February 7 then resurfaced online. This, after Direk Bobet Vidanes emotionally explained in an episode of “Lunch Out Loud” that he left “It’s Showtime” because it was not healthy for him anymore. In Vice’s old vlog, the comedian revealed that he was surprised and clueless about Direk Bobet’s decision. He frankly opened up as well that he was offended by what Direk Bobet did.

Cristy Fermin, in the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute”, also reacted to Direk Bobet’s statements saying that someone was trying to make "lider-lideran" in the show. The entertainment columnist then dropped Vice Ganda's name whom she thinks Direk Bobet’s remark was referring to.
