Claire Castro has been under the spotlight after her confrontation scene with Gina Alajar in Nagbabagang Luha trended on social media.
It will be recalled that her co-stars Glaiza De Castro, Rayver Cruz, and Mike Tan were even surprised at how the scene turned out.
The young actress recently told KAMI that she was actually “quite sleepy” during that time but managed to wake up because of Gina.

“I was happy because I was quite sleepy that time. I really wanted to wake up and that scene did just the trick,” Claire revealed.

When asked how it was like working with Gina, both an actress and a director herself, Claire had nothing but praises for the latter.
“Well, si Direk Gina po sobrang lambing, she would give me tips so I wouldn't strain my voice while acting. Si Ate Glaiza po masaya ka-work kasi minsan magjo-joke po siya sa standby area to lighten the mood.”
As for her other co-stars, Rayver and Mike, Claire revealed how the two would often crack jokes on set.
“Si Kuya Mike naman po would give me tips din and would often times crack jokes and lagi po [siyang] inggit sa food ko. Si Kuya Rayver naman po lagi nagjo-joke kaya masaya kasama sa scene. I had good experiences with all of them and I am honored to have met them.”
Meanwhile, in an exclusive video with GMA-7, Gina revealed that Claire did not want to use a double for the scene, and she wholeheartedly agreed to get slapped.

Claire Castro is the daughter of 90's stars Diego Castro and Raven Villanueva. She is under the management of GMA-7 and has made several appearances in their series, such as Dragon Lady and Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday. Recently, she was cast as Cielo in the 2021 remake of the 1988 film Nagbabagang Luha.
