Robin Padilla shared his honest thoughts and feelings on President Rodrigo Duterte’s announcement that he will be retiring from politics after his presidency ends next year.

He also reacted to his friend, Senator Bong Go, running for vice presidency in next year’s election instead of running for president.

According to Padilla, he wanted Go to run for president and Duterte to be his vice president in the 2022 Election.

He admitted that he despaired and got heartbroken that his desire for Go to be the President of the Philippines and for Duterte to be his Vice President did not push through.

“Aminin ko sa inyo mga mahal kong kababayan at tagasunod. Isa ako sa mga nagsusulong na tumakbo bilang presidente si Senator Bong Go at si Mayor PRRD ang Vice President. Inilaban ko yan sa kudrado ng aming lupon, ipinilit ko hanggang sa huling sandali bago tuluyan na nagretiro si Mayor prrd at si Senator bong go naman ay pumalit sa kanya.
“Nalungkot ako at natulala sa naganap dahil gumuho ang mga pagbabagong pangarap ko para sa Inangbayan. Aminin mam natin o hindi napakaraming nagawa ng 5 taon administration ni Mayor prrd at sa 2 taon ni Senator bong go sa senado. Naaramdaman ng mga Tao na bumaba ang gobyerno sa abot nitong makakaya hanggang sa mga malalayo at liblib na lugar at kung May mga pagkukulang man ay hindi ito dulot ng hindi nila pagganap sa kanilang tungkulin kundi dulot ng pananalanta ng pandemya at ng maruming pulitika.

“Naniniwala akong sa pamamagitan at sa katauhan ni Senator bong go ay parang hindi rin tayo iniwan ni Mayor prrd. Andyan pa rin sya na nagpapayo at nagtuturo kay Senator bong go kung paano haharapin ang mga crisis na darating sa Inangbayan. Magsislbing tatay si prrd ng pangalawang tatay ng Inangbayan.
“The best adviser a Vice President can ever get. aksyon man kasi si mayor kaya nasanay na rin si sbg na kahit nakapikit ay nagseserbisyo,” Robin wrote on Instagram.

Robin Padilla is a famous action star and endorser in the Philippines. He is married to actress-host Mariel Padilla. The actor has two children with Mariel – Isabella and Gabriela.

Mariel went viral for expressing her support for employees of the Kapamilya network after ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal was rejected by Congress. Robin has also made known his position, saying that he wants the network to be reformed but he does not want it to get shut down.

Robin also made the news after his sibling BB Gandanghari accused him of being a neglectful brother and a hypocrite. Robin Padilla responded to BB by expressing his love for his sibling.
