Maxene Magalona, 34, recently took to social media to share a heartwarming and comforting encounter she had with a barista at Starbucks.
On Saturday, October 2, KAMI learned that the actress went to the coffee shop to get herself a latte for the celebration of International Coffee Day.
According to Maxene, she was a “frequent customer” at the said branch which is why she noticed that there was a new barista in town.

“That’s why when I noticed that there was a new barista in the café and even saw that his name was Kiko, I asked him if he was new there. He said that he had already been assigned there before and just came back again now.”

The actress then recalled telling the barista how cool it was that his name was “Kiko” since it reminded her of her dad, Francis Magalona.
“I answered saying that I thought it was cool that his name is Kiko because whenever I come across someone who shares the same name as my Dad, I really feel as though he is somehow sending me a message and guiding me.
“To which Kiko replied, “Idol ko po ang Papa niyo. Alam ko nga po na October 4 ang birthday niya kasi October 2 naman po ang birthday ko!” Hi, Pop! I miss you so much! Thanks for always being with me in spirit.”
At the end of her post, Maxene wrote, “To Francis “Kiko” Balingit of @starbucksph Shangri-La mall, happy birthday! It was nice and comforting to meet you. God bless you!”
Maxene Magalona is an actress and social media star in the Philippines. Her father is the late rap legend, Francis Magalona. The actress revealed in May 2020 that she has been seeing a psychiatrist due to her mental illness.
As reported earlier by KAMI, Maxene Magalona recently posted a crying selfie online and revealed that she has been "crying more than usual."
She also made headlines when she shared a sad photo of herself and talked about how her body "began to physically collapse" as well.
