Francine Diaz, in a recent talk with Dr. Vicki Belo for the latter’s YouTube channel, opened up about her past before she had her big break in showbiz.

When she was still a child, Francine recalled dreaming about becoming a teacher or an astronaut when she grows up.

However, when she started to be a little bit mature, she dreamt about becoming an actress as she saw it as the only way to lift her family out of poverty.

“Nung una gusto ko maging teacher, maging astronaut, tapos habang tumatagal, nung nagiging mature na ako sabi ko kailangan yung malaki ang sahod ko kasi gusto ko ng malaking bahay, gusto ko ng madaming kotse, gusto ko ng maraming Barbie,” Francine recalled.

She also admitted to acting in front of the mirror and mimicked recording for commercials.

“Umaarte ako sa harap ng salamin tapos nag-vi-VTR ako sa commercial,” she said.

When she finally had the chance to do some commercials, that’s when she thought of becoming an actress.

"Nung nag-start ako magkaroon ng mga commercial, dun ko naisip na gusto ko maging artista. Yung totoong artista talaga na may teleserye ako or may movie. Dun na nag-start,” the actress revealed.

At first, her mom wouldn’t allow her to become an actress but she convinced her thoroughly until she relented.

She also recalled that during those times, she and her mom would borrow money to be used for transport fare.

“Nung una sa commercial parati kami nangungutang ng pamasahe para makapag-VTR ako,” Francine said.

She also said that they would just go to where she would do VTR for commercials then just eat at home when the taping is over so they could save money.

Francine admitted that life was very difficult then, particularly on the financial side of things, but through her persistence and perseverance, she was able to make her dream come true.

Francine Carrel Saenz Diaz, more popularly known as Francine Diaz, is a Pinay actress and product endorser. She was born on January 27, 2004. Francine started acting in a variety of TV series, which include, The Blood Sisters, We Will Survive, Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin, and Be My Lady. The actress rose to fame and became a household name when she portrayed the role of Cassandra Mondragon in Kadenang Ginto.

Previously, Francine has shared that she doesn’t care if there are many netizens bashing her. The actress said she’s not active on social media anyway so she doesn’t get affected that much. She said that she only goes online if she needs to promote something like her new anthology series titled “Click, Like, Share,” or if she wanted to greet a friend. Francine also said that she’s extra careful about clicking “like” or reacting to social media posts.

Francine has also revealed that she had a “third eye” when she was still young. The Kapamilya actress said that she used to see things and scenes that are very difficult to explain. She attributed this to her “third eye,” which the actress said is very much wide open during that time. The actress said it’s a good thing her “third eye” is now closed because at least, she has stopped seeing and feeling the presence of lost souls, spirits, and other elements.
