Lyca Gairanod sold the house that was included in her prize as the champion of The Voice Kids Philippines.

Lyca was the recent guest of journalist Karen Davila on her YouTube channel.
The journo wanted to know what happened to Lyca seven years after winning “The Voice Kids Philippines.”

“Magtataka yung mga fans mo kung bakit binenta yun ni Lyca,” Karen said in the video.
The Voice Kids Ph champion said that while she had many memories with that new house, she has to sell it in order to be with her grandmother.
“Yung bahay naman po na yun pinahalagahan ko naman po siyang talaga. Marami po akong memories na binuo dun sa house na yun and para po kay lola kasi gusto niya kaming makasama kasi di nya po gustong malayo po kami,” Lyca explained.
Lyca said that she did bring her grandmother to that house but she went home to her old place as she cannot stand the silence.
“Dinala po namin siya sa house po na yun kaso umuwi. Ayaw daw po talaga niya doon kasi ang tahimik daw po,” the singer continued.
To settle the issue, Lyca just sold the new house and bought one located in the place where she grew up.
She also made some renovations to the house to make it more becoming.

Lyca Jane Epe Gairanod, better known as Lyca Gairanod, is a Pinay singer and actress. She was born on November 21, 2004 in Tanza, Cavite where her father worked as a fisherman while her mother scavenged for old newspapers and used bottles with Lyca helping her when she grew a bit older. Lyca used to sing for her neighbors so they would give her food or money. She joined the first edition of The Voice Kids Philippines, where she won cash prize, a house and lot, and a recording deal with MCA Music Philippines.
The singing champ also gained the netizens’ praises recently after showcasing how good her heart is. In a vlog, the singer gave assistance to a female senior citizen named Nanay Ising. Nanay Ising, despite her old age, collects scraps and trade them to junkshops for a living. Lyca then bought grocery items and fruits for Nanay Ising and personally visited the latter's place to hand over the said goods.

Netizens were also pleased with the latest video of Lyca on her YouTube channel. In this particular video, she was shown with her beloved grandmother doing the Spicy Noodle Challenge, where each of them would ask questions. The video also showed how close Lyca is to her grandmother.
