Actor Enchong Dee’s retweet of a post about the alleged lavish wedding celebration of Claudine Diana Bautista, the Drivers and Commuters party-list representative, has gone viral.
The post also indicated that the party-list representative was among those who voted “no” to ABS-CBN’s franchise application.
“Drivers and Commuters Rep who voted NO to ABS-CBN franchise got married in a Michael Cinco gown in a lavish peony-filled ceremony in Balesin in the middle of a pandemic,” the original post, which was retweeted by Enchong Dee, read.

Couples opt for a Balesin Island wedding celebration because it is secluded and far from prying eyes of curious onlookers.
However, a Balesin Island wedding is not someone for the faint of heart, at least in the financial aspect of things.
For one, one would need to hire private planes to get to the island and that alone could already cost anyone almost 9,000 pesos per head round trip. The villas within the island costs upward of 22,000 pesos for each night.
The distance of the island alone already requires a guest to stay there overnight, at the very least.
Perhaps it is because of these that Enchong and the original poster blasted Drivers and Commuters party-list representative Bautista.
They also hit her for getting a Michael Cinco gown, which oftentimes costs hundreds of thousands of pesos.
Ernest Lorenzo Velasquez Dee, better known as Enchong Dee in the entertainment world, is a Pinoy actor, model, and swimming enthusiast. He was born on November 5, 1988 to Maria Theresa Diño Velasquez and Johnson Molina Dee in Naga, Camarines Sur. He rose to fame after landing in his first major role in the TV drama Katorse. He also portrayed the role of Luis in Maria la del Barrio and also appeared in Ina, Kapatid, Anak. At present, he is under contract with Star Magic.
Enchong has been known to criticize the government, particularly top government officials like President Rodrigo Duterte. In March, the actor criticized the President’s statement about the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The President said that if only he had a magic wand to end the crisis immediately, he would use it with no hesitation. The actor then told Duterte that the latter already has a magic wand and that is being the President. According to Dee, Duterte failed even if he already has been given a year and billions of pesos to solve the problem.
The actor also took to Twitter to slam the government on what he claimed as an attempt by the government to engage in propaganda making the administration look good. The actor said that whatever propaganda the government is harping on, it still cannot dispute data on its actual economic performance. He included a screenshot of the economic performance of several countries in Asia. The data shows the Philippines at the bottom of the list with a negative ratio.
