According to Oyao, a ball gown was the chosen attire for the prom, however, since renting one would be expensive, he wondered if their parents could even afford one.

"Yun nga lang ball gown yung required which is napakamahal ng renta, baka di afford nina mama at papa, sabi ko sa kanya baka di ka matutuloy or ano ba kasi san tayo kukuha ng pang renta?
"And she insisted me na gusto niya raw talaga sumali kasi last year na niya sa Junior high which is tama nga naman. Naawa ako bigla. Napaisip ako if gagawa na lang kami makakamura siguro? But I doubted kasi mahirap ang pag gawa."

At one point in his post, Oyao thanked the people who helped them financially just so he could finish the ball gown on time.

"To those who helped us financially para matapos lang on time salamat po talaga ng marami. Alam niyo na kung sino kayo.
"I’ve done my part very well as your supportive kuya and hinding hindi ako magsasawa na suportahan ka. Pramis ni kuya mo yan sayo. I hope I made you happy this Valentine's Day."
