Lolit Solis penned a commentary on viral news about President Rodrigo Duterte slamming a certain Metro Manila mayor for his past daring career in showbiz.

Duterte did not name the mayor but among the mayors in Metro Manila, only Manila Mayor Isko Moreno had a past in showbiz.
According to Solis, Moreno’s daring photoshoots from the past should not be brought up because it has nothing to do with his performance as a politician.
She added that Moreno never hid his past and that his life and career are an open book.
The showbiz writer also urged the President to just work with Moreno in improving the country.
“Ewan ko Salve pero naawa naman ako kay Mayor Isko Moreno kung siya iyon Mayor na pinatatamaan ni Papa Digong. Alam ko na pulitika lang naman lahat ng nangyayari, pero iyon mga photos ni Mayor Isko na nagkalat sa Facebook na kuha nuon lumalabas pa siya sa pelikula, ang tagal na.
“So, kung anuman ang ginawa niya habang isa siyang artista, hindi kasali sa pagiging Mayor niya ngayon. Hindi itinago ni Mayor Isko ang pinagdaanan niyang buhay, open book ito sa lahat.
“Hindi naging sagabal sa bago niyang career bilang pulitiko. Siguro maganda ang naging performance niya, nakita ng tao ang dedication niya sa trabaho, kaya hayun, shining star siya sa political ring.
“Kung anuman mga taktika sa politics na ginagamit, palagay ko hindi maganda iyon mga personal na birada kay Mayor Isko Moreno. Kung anuman naganap sa una niyang buhay ng artista pa siya, part na iyon ng past.
“Ang importante iyon ngayon at gagawin niya sa future. Sa mga taga Maynila, kung ano ang trabaho na ibinibigay niya now, iyon ang importante. Walang kinalaman iyon mga photos na lumalabas, o kung anuman role ang ginawa niya sa pelikula.
“Just be a good Mayor, period. At kay Papa Digong, just be a good President and leader, hayaan mo na iyon mga inilalabas sa Facebook, huwag mo ng isali iyon sa research mo, nakalipas na iyon, kalimutan na. Mas maganda pa na work together kayo para sa ikabubuti ng bayan. Go go Philippines. Fighting,” Solis wrote on Instagram.
