Janno Gibbs penned his reaction to some netizens’ calling him “privileged”.

Just recently, Janno – who is now fully vaccinated – lamented the announcement that Metro Manila will shift to the strictest enhanced community quarantine on August 6 to 20 and that “there will be no distinction between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals”.

In his previous post, the singer aired his opinion that the government should give consideration to fully vaccinated individuals.

However, Janno said that some netizens mistook his remarks.

“Ok. Some of you are mistaking my remarks as privileged.. pangmayaman at artista,” he wrote.

“Nung pumila ako sa QC hall twice for my doses. Nakita ko ang haba ng pila. Puro mahihirap. Paano na ung libo libong mahihirap na fully vaccinated at kailangang kumayod?”

Janno Gibbs is a Filipino actor, singer-songwriter, and comedian, who starred in the Kapuso comedy series "Ober Da Bakod." He is the son of acclaimed actor Ronaldo Valdez and the husband of veteran actress Bing Loyzaga. The married couple has two daughters – Alyssa and Gabby.

Janno recently apologized after his “#basurabakuna” remark received negative comments. The singer clarified that he is not questioning the efficacy of the vaccines against COVID-19.
