Sharon Cuneta's impersonator, Ate Shawee, who is also a comedian herself, has recently passed away on Monday at the age of 45.
KAMI learned that the news of her death was confirmed by Rafaela de Jesus, who is Ate Shawee's niece, in an online post on Facebook.
According to Rafaela, Ate Shawee, whose real name is Marvin Martinez, died because of liver cirrhosis.

Rafaela, who announced the comedian's death online, has previously gone viral for documenting Ate Shawee's condition, asking for donations for her hospitalization as well.
As reported by ABS-CBN News, friends and colleagues of Ate Shawee in the industry have even raised funds through social media for the latter's liver transplant.
Following the news of her death, Ate Shawee's family is still asking for financial help to shoulder the expenses of her funeral, according to GMA Network.
Among Ate Shawee's last online posts were about her condition, openly admitting that she has been slowly losing hope as reported by Bandera Inquirer.
Sharon Cuneta, commonly known as the 'Megastar' in the local showbiz industry, is a prominent and veteran celebrity in the Philippines. She already expressed her intent to retire from showbiz.
As reported earlier by KAMI, Sharon Cuneta made headlines when she posted throwback photos of KC Concepcion and Gabby Concepcion on social media.
Meanwhile, the Megastar also openly admitted that she already misses her family in the Philippines after leaving for the United States back in May.
