Angel Locsin on being related to Marawi royalty: "I am just really happy na parte sila ng buhay ko"

Angel Locsin recently had a one-on-one interview with fellow actor Matteo Guidicelli for his Spotify podcast talk show, MattRuns.
At the beginning of the podcast, one of the questions asked by Matteo was about her relatives in Marawi who are, in fact, royalty.
Angel revealed the version that she knew regarding the matter. The talented actress shared, "Yung version na alam ko, 'yung kinakalakihan ko talaga is 'yung mommy ko adopted sa Marawi. Napakabait nila sa amin, Matteo, hindi pa ako artista."

According to Angel's story, when her mother's family was struggling financially, a princess of Marawi decided to help them out by adopting Angel's mom.
The actress was all praises for her royal relatives and said that they have always reached out to her and were very loving. Furthermore, even though Angel did not share their religious beliefs there was never any friction among them.
“I am just really happy na parte sila ng buhay ko. Hanggang ngayon, kapag pumupunta ako sa Mindanao, nakaantabay na talaga 'yung mga kamag-anak ko doon. Kaya masakit sa loob ko kapag nakakarinig akong hindi maganda tungkol sa mga Muslim brothers natin kasi nakita ko kung gaano sila kabait.”
It can be remembered that the philanthropic actress once volunteered to help people during the conflict in Marawi.
