Mary Rose Sidlaw, in the special report of Saleema Refran in "Brigada," said that she has received a lot of criticisms, with people often judging her.
Sometimes, those people whom she consider friends and family are the ones who would hurt her feelings.
"Minsan po sila mismo 'yung nagsasabi na, 'Hala, bakit ganiyan 'yung underarm mo, ang itim?' 'Hindi ka ba nagse-shave?' 'Ano ang ginawa mo diyan bakit may sugat?'
Another girl, Lane Manlapaz, said that sometimes, he herself could not accept her condition.
Lately though, these women learned to accept who they are, flaws and all.
"Na-realize ko po na kapag mahal mo 'yung sarili mo, wala na pong kahit ano, kahit sino na makakapagsabi sa inyo kung ano 'yung dapat na hitsura niyo."

The underarms are among the things that make women really conscious of how they look. For a time, getting the underarms white has become the norm. Now, with more women being empowered to accept who or what they are, the notion is slowly becoming a thing of the past.
