Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has released his official statement on the passing of former president Noynoy Aquino.

He condoled with the family and also urged everyone to pray and set aside differences.
He also mentioned that Aquino is now in a better place.
"I join the entire nation in mourning the passing of Former President Benigno S. Aquino III.
I express my deepest sympathies to his siblings, Ballsy, Pinky, Viel and Kris, as well as to all his loved ones, friends and supporters, in this period of sadness.
May you take comfort in the knowledge that he is now in a better place with his Creator.
Let us all take this opportunity to unite in prayer and set aside our differences as we pay respects to a leader who has given his best to serve the Filipino people.
His memory and his family's legacy of offering their lives for the cause of democracy will forever remain etched in our hearts."

Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino died at the age of 61 on June 24, Thursday. He was rushed to the hospital but later died for still an undisclosed reason. A report from Rappler revealed that the former President has recently undergone a heart operation. He has also been battling various illnesses and had undergone dialysis for five months.
Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her grief over the passing of Former President Noynoy Aquino. Robredo stated that it has broken her heart upon learning that PNoy has passed. According to Robredo, Noynoy tried to do what was right, even though that it was not popular. She also said that Noynoy was silent but untiring when it comes to working to help many Filipinos.
