- The President said that he was expressing his deepest sympathies to the siblings Ballsy, Pinky, Viel, Noynoy and Kris

Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has released his official statement on the passing of former president Noynoy Aquino.

He condoled with the family and also urged everyone to pray and set aside differences.

He also mentioned that Aquino is now in a better place.

"I join the entire nation in mourning the passing of Former President Benigno S. Aquino III.
I express my deepest sympathies to his siblings, Ballsy, Pinky, Viel and Kris, as well as to all his loved ones, friends and supporters, in this period of sadness.

Aquino was the 15th President of the Philippines. He ran for office after the death of his mother former Pres. Cory Aquino. His "Daang Matuwid" was the slogan of his term.

Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino died at the age of 61 on June 24, Thursday. He was rushed to the hospital but later died for still an undisclosed reason. A report from Rappler revealed that the former President has recently undergone a heart operation. He has also been battling various illnesses and had undergone dialysis for five months.
