Robin Padilla took to social media to defend himself after DOH Secretary Francisco Duque prohibited the public from conducting self-swab tests on themselves.
According to Duque, performing such tests may lead to a questionable test result in the end.
Following this news, KAMI learned that Robin uploaded a video showing a child conducting a self-swab test on themselves in Germany.
It can be worth noting, however, that in the video of the kid, teachers could be seen and heard supervising the kids with the tests.

According to Robin, while he understands Sec. Duque's concerns, he emphasized that his case was different.
"Kaya ng babae, kaya ng batang babae. Ang Pilipino hindi kaya? Sir, tama po kayo, Secretary Duque hindi po ito dapat ginagawa ng kahit na sino.
"Lalo na po ang walang alam at walang karanasan sa swab test. Kung may available na frontliner dapat lang po na sila ang gumagawa ng COVID test.
"Pero ang sitwasyon po namin ay iba at malayo lahat sa inyo. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Una sa lahat, ang kaligtasan ng nakararami ang pinakamahalaga sa amin.
"Hindi kailanman ang kaligtasan ng mga sarili namin. Rest assured dearest secretary, we are safe and the people around us are more safer."
