Julia Barretto, in a recent interview with Metro.Style, revealed that her BF, Gerald Anderson, is a good influence on her.

The actress also disclosed many things about her BF, whom she called “the real” Gerald, and one of these is that he is such a funny guy off camera.
The declarations of Julia runs contrary to what many bashers say, with many of them openly saying they’re not in favor of the couple’s relationship.
One example of such bashing episode was when netizens speculated that Julia wasn’t able to attend the birthday celebration of her mom, Marjorie Barretto, is because she and Gerald went fishing together in the middle of the sea. Julia dismissed such talks as pure speculation.
When asked why she consider Gerald as a good influence, the actress said she noticed a lot of positive change in her because of her BF.
“This question made me quite emotional thinking about all the improvement I’ve noticed in myself since being with him,” Julia said.
In a report by Manila Bulletin, Julia also said Gerald made everything simple.
“I’m not sure he realizes the impact he’s had in my life. Gerald has made all my complicated, simple. In all situations, he helps put things into proper perspective for me,” the actress further said.
She then went on to say that Gerald helped her become more grounded.
“He has grounded and humbled me as a person. I am grateful everyday that I have a partner that looks out for me, fuels me and drives me to become a better person, for everyone and most especially for myself,” Julia said.
She also revealed other details about Gerald, such as his being a “funny guy.”
“Gerald off-cam is a funny guy. I don’t think this is a side of him many know. He has a unique humor that cracks me up all the time,” Julia revealed.
In a previous report by ABS-CBN, it was revealed that Julia and Gerald both have the same Zodiac sign, Pisces. Julia said, in that interview, that perhaps this might be an indication of their compatibility.

In a past interview with real-life boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, for the actor’s own vlog, Julia admitted she’s ready to quit showbiz anytime. She also said that she had always yearned for a quiet and simple life. Julia then said that would be the next chapter in her life and she is now making preparations for that.
In that same interview, Julia also revealed that she wants to have her own family within the next ten years. Just recently, Julia was featured as Gerald's "special guest" in his street food vlog. During the vlog, Julia tried several street foods that are new to her while answering Gerald's questions. Among the questions the actress received was about her “5-to-10 year plans.”
