Neri Naig-Miranda recently gave some pieces of advice to a netizen who asked her about financial matter.

The query came from a wife who was instructed by her mom to handle her husband's money.
"Bagong kasal pa lang kami ng asawa ko. Pinagsasabihan ako ng nanay ko na dapat ako daw po ang maghawak ng pera ng asawa ko dahil ako daw po ang babae. Kaso po mas magaling humawak ng pera ang mister ko. Magastos po kasi ako. Nahihiya naman akong sabihin sa asawa ko. Pinapagalitan na po ako ng nanay ko. Ano po ang gagawin ko?" the netizen asked.
Neri then opened up how she and Chito Miranda handle their finances:
"Based sa experience ko at sa napagkasunduan namin ng asawa ko, siya ang naghahawak ng pera niya. Yung kinikita nya sa pagbabanda at sa mga negosyo nya. Ako naman nung bagong kasal kami, hindi rin ako marunong humawak ng pera. Kay Chito nga ako natuto. Kahit ano pa ang sabihin ng ibang tao, ang importante yung napagkasunduan at napag usapan. Para sa inyong dalawa yan eh. At baka katulad ko rin, matuto kang maghandle ng pera mo."

The actress-turned-businesswoman then advised that it is better if both the husband and the wife have their respective earnings.
"Mag trabaho o magnegosyo ka. Para may sarili kang pera at palaguin mo. Mas madali kung pareho kayong may sariling pera. Hindi nyo pag aawayan ang pera sa bahay."
