Julia Barretto finally got to learn about one of the mistakes that her dad, Dennis Padilla, made, which subsequently turned out to be among his biggest regrets.
The revelation happened during Julia’s interview with her dad for the actress’ vlog.
At one point during the interview, the actress asked her father about missteps in the past.
“If you could turn back time, what would you have done differently?” Julia asked.
Without hesitation, Dennis said he should have saved.
“Maybe, dapat I saved something for myself,” the veteran comedian began.
“Kasi kung I was able to save something for myself, pag dumating yung time na yung career ko di na ganun ka blooming, meron akong pupulutin,” Dennis added.
“Kasi sa buhay ko, Julia, talagang I was zero. Nobody believed that I was zero, with some saying ‘impossible yun kasi antagal mo nang artista’ ganyan ganyan,” the comedian went on.
At this point, Julia interjected and said her dad should have been more mindful at the time.
Dennis agreed, adding that he should have invested his huge earnings then in land acquisition.
He also left this advice to young actors and actresses, saying they should invest their earnings in land, to which Julia agreed, saying “that’s a good lesson.”
